Worthington Type W. 1hp
Manufactured by Worthington Pump and Machinery Corporation, Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Worthington took over International Gas Engine Company in 1917 and modified their range of engines and designated them Type W. With 7 models ranging from 3hp to 15hp. Shortly afterwards they introduced 2 further models, the small 1hp and 1 3/4hp Type W engines. Only these 2 models were built in the Hit and Miss style.
This example is the 1hp version
The Type W range was phased out by 1921.
