Stover CT2  2hp

Manufactured by Stover Manufacturing and Engine Company. Freeport, Illinois.

The company was formed in 1862, manufacturing Windmills, Farm Equipment, Bicycles among many other products. It is unclear when engine production actually started but sales peaked in 1919.

The CT2 - 2hp engine was part of the CT range from 1 1/2hp to 4hp. Production ran until the factory closed in 1942, during which time 25,000 CT2 engines were built.
