Sattley 1 1/2hp. Montgomery Ward

In 1916 Montgomery Ward acquired Racine-Sattley, including their engine plant in Jackson Michigan.

By 1918 they had dropped the Racine name in favour of Sattley only. At this time they introduced a further range of Throttle Governed engines in 5 sizes from 2 1/2hp to 15hp.

They retained the original range of Hit and Miss engines in 7 sizes from 1 1/2hp to 15hp.

This one is a 1 1/2hp and would date from around this time.
