Racine - Sattley 7hp . Montgomery Ward.

In 1916 Montgomery Ward acquired Racine Sattley including their Gas Engine manufacturing plant in Jackson, Michigan.

There were 7 engines in the range from 1 1/2hp to 15hp. This one is a 7hp.

There are a few Sattley's in the UK so are not uncommon but I know of no other 7hp engines here.

This one has repaired frost damage on the cylinder head but it has been repaired properly and neatly causing no problem whatsoever.

It has a low serial no, so must be an early Engine. Possibly even pre purchase date, when Montgomery Ward were just agents for these engines.
