National Gas Engine - F Type - 3/4 - 1hp

Manufactured by National Gas Engine Company Ltd, Wellington Works, Ashton - under - Lyne. 

The company was founded in 1890 for the production of gas engines to the improved 'Otto' design. They soon had an extensive range from 1hp to 160hp.

All but the smaller F Type (1hp) and J Type (2hp) had twin flywheels, the F and J Types had single.

This engine is an F Type Being 1hp. It was built in 1913. During restoration it was converted to run on Propane Gas.
