Bamford 2hp Air-cooled engine.

Manufactured by Henry Bamford, Uttoxeter.

Bamford , a well known name in agricultural equipment, entered the engine market in 1921 with models ranging from 2 1/2hp to 10hp all being either hopper or tank cooled.

In the mid 20's a 2hp air-cooled horizontal engine was produced but proved not to be popular so was only produced in very limited numbers.

This engine could not be described as 'rare' but possibly better described as 'scarce'. It is however, a very interesting model.
