AMANCO 4HP

Amanco 4hp Engine.

Manufactured by Associated Manufacturers Company, Waterloo, Iowa.

The company was formed in 1909 from The Iowa Dairy separator Company and produced a range of engines from 1 1/2hp to a 25hp Twin Cylinder.

Models up to 18hp were all given names, as you will see on the name plate of this 4hp engine. These various models were introduced in stages from 1910 to 1917.

The 4hp 'Chore Boy' '4 Mule Team' was available in Hit and Miss ignition or standard Carburettor version and was introduced c1915. This 4 HP model is the carburettor version.
